Felix Auger-Aliassime will play Sebastian Korda in the Adelaide International final, after coming through an epic showdown with Tommy Paul.

The in-form Canadian registered his fourth straight victory, as he battled past the top seed 7-6 (7-3) 3-6 6-4 after two hours and 45 minutes.

Auger-Aliassime saved set point at 5-4 down in the opener, before winning six of the last seven points in the tie-break to draw first blood.

World number 12 Paul was looking to climb into the ATP's top 10 for the first time in his career, and he responded well by breaking three times in the second set to level.

However, it was Auger-Aliassime who claimed the crucial early break in the decider. He then saved three break points to hold for a 4-2 lead, before holding out to reach his first final on outdoor hard courts since an ATP 250 in Melbourne four years ago.

The fifth seed's reward is a showdown with another American in 2023 runner-up Korda, who did not face a single break point as he overcame Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3 7-6 (7-4).

In the women's event, Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys will go head to head in the showpiece.

Top seed Pegula recorded her third straight victory over Yulia Putintseva, overcoming the Kazakhstani 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 in just under an hour-and-a-half.

Though Putintseva overturned an early break to lead 4-2 in the tie-break, Pegula reeled off the next five points to take the opening set.

Last season's US Open runner-up then controlled the second to advance to the final, where good friend Keys awaits.

The world number 20, who has already beaten Beatriz Haddad Maia, Jelena Ostapenko and Daria Kasatkina this week, prevailed 5-7 7-5 3-0 as opponent Liudmila Samsonova was forced to retire injured.
