Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin turned in an outstanding performance to join Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei in Sunday's final of the World Tour Finals.

Having two representatives in the final of this prestigious season-ending event makes up for the disappointment of not having Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik and Lee Zii Jia in the semi-finals, despite them winning two of their three group matches.

Goh-Izzuddin sealed their fifth final of the year after coming out victors after an exhilarating 17-21, 21-16, 27-25 victory over Indonesias Fajar Alfian-Rian Ardianto.

It felt like a smash and grab victory for the Malaysians, who trailed their opponents for the entire third game, and only took the lead at 26-25.

Goh's flick serve for the final point set them on their way, and victory was sealed when he sent a shot to the baseline beyond Fajar-Rian, as both shuttlers celebrated the huge win.

Goh-Izzuddin will now wait for their final opponents, which would be either Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen or Sabar Karyaman-Moh Reza Pahlevi.

Chen-Toh had in the first match of the semi-finals action sealed their final passage after a 21-15, 21-12 victory over Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai.

This is the second time that Chen-Toh beat their compatriots in this tournament, having also come out tops in the group stage encounter.

Chen-Toh will face home pair Zheng Si Wei-Huang Ya Qiong for the mixed doubles silverware.
